Jesus knew their thoughts…

“Jesus knew their thoughts and said to them, “Every kingdom divided against itself will be ruined, and every city or household divided against itself will not stand.”

“Jesus knew what they were thinking and asked, “Why are you thinking these things in your hearts?”

“But He knew what they were thinking, and He said to the man with the withered hand, “Get up and come forward!” And he got up and came forward.”

“And He said to them, “You are those who justify yourselves in the sight of men, but God knows your hearts; for that which is highly esteemed among men is detestable in the sight of God.”

Jesus was entirely God in the flesh. He knew the thoughts of the people around Him. Do you think that’s possible for you to do what Jesus did in this capacity? Do you think it’s possible to know the thoughts of the people around you?

Do you monitor the thoughts that go through your mind regularly or not so much? Did you know that every thought you think isn’t necessarily yours? In the spirit realm there’s so much activity taking place on a continual basis. It would blow our minds if we could physically see it.

For those baptized in the Holy Ghost, it’s possible to walk as Jesus walked, to be perfect as He is perfect, to do greater things than He did – if, you only believe. That’s what the Bible says anyway, regarding those who believe. The Holy Ghost is everywhere all the time in and around each of us. As we go deeper into a relationship with the Holy Spirit, it is possible to have a continual conversation with Him and know the things He knows. He talks on a regular basis to those who have ears to hear. Do you have ears to hear?

It’s kind of like a spiritual cell phone. The Apostle Paul instructs us to “pray” without ceasing. We can have a conversation going 24 hours a day. He’s continually talking; if we’re listening and paying attention, we won’t miss Him. When we read the Bible, we get to know God, how He talks and how He thinks. This builds our discernment to filter better the thoughts and ideas going through our heads.

How do I know someone can hear or know the thoughts of others like Jesus did? I can and do hear the thoughts of others at times. About ten years ago now, I was on an extended fast. Some friends wanted to receive some inner healing. I was there to listen merely, pray and share anything that the Lord might be prompted with. He showed me how the session would go instance by instance. At the end of it, a question was asked of the recipient being ministered to. I began to write down what I heard the Lord saying, only moments after I started to write the sentence, the recipient being ministered to spoke the exact words I was in the process of writing out. I dropped the pen mid-sentence. It freaked me out a little, to be honest. This was the first time I’d encountered hearing the thoughts of another in such a profound and verifiable way.

Another time playing a game with friends, we were going around the room sharing on a particular topic. I realized what the person next to me was going to say so I switched places because I was going to say the same thing. As I began to share the person I switched places with friendly hit me and exclaimed that’s what they were going to say. I then revealed that’s exactly why I moved places because I knew we were going to say the same thing. It was funny for everyone.

As I’ve continually monitored my thoughts, discernment has grown and understanding what people are thinking has become a strength. Don’t get me wrong, if you came up to me and asked, “what am I thinking? or “I’m thinking of a number between 1 and 100, what is it?” It’s a work in progress and I’m not on that level yet.

What’s even more fascinating is hearing the prayers of others about you. It’s an intimate thing to have the Lord let you see/hear what people are praying for you. It’s such a blessing to know people are praying for you and sometimes it can be a little painful or hurtful. People don’t always pray warm fluffy prayers about you or think nice warm thoughts towards you for one reason or another. People will even pray for you to leave a situation, in a “clever” way, but go against the assignment of God. They’ll pray against His will, which is a little amusing. At times I’ve accommodated such requests (then they think God answered their prayer – no He didn’t, I just provided the situation a little time out), but it only prolongs the assignment that God wants to accomplish. Timelines are a funny thing with God, but that’s another story.

Another name for prayers which oppose God’s plans and purposes are also known as “charismatic witchcraft.” which go against the assignment of God. Charismatic witchcraft is way too common in the Church. Whether it’s immaturity or intentional, the result is still the same. It’s a work of the flesh and sin. Repentance is the proper course of action.

“Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, 20 idolatry, sorcery (also known as witchcraft – brackets added), hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, 21 envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.”

“O foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you that you should not obey the truth,[a] before whose eyes Jesus Christ was portrayed among you[b] as crucified? 2 This only I want to learn from you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? 3 Are you so foolish? Having begun in the Spirit, are you now being made perfect by the flesh? 4 Have you suffered so many things in vain—if indeed it was in vain?”

As we walk in the Spirit we are not manipulated or controlled, by those, for whatever reason may be toying with witchcraft for such purposes. We all have a choice. Are we going to seek God’s way and objectives or are we going to attempt our way and our own purposes? An excellent book to read on this subject is “Seductions Exposed” by Dr. Gary L. Greenwald, quite informative.

It’s much more fun and exciting to follow Jesus. He’s the real hero we want to copy and emulate – to do what He did and say what He said.

God bless you in the best and most worthy pursuit – the Man Jesus Christ. Have a wonderful time with family and friends celebrating the birth of the KING of kings.

Roe Vs. Wade – One of the best Pro-life speeches EVER! Gianna Jessen abortion survivor – the truth about abortion

One of the best Pro-life speeches EVER! Gianna Jessen abortion survivor. The truth about abortion you won’t hear in mainstream media today.

When we realize society at large is responsible for the on-going slaughter of 1,000,000+ babies every year in the USA alone, we will finally begin to see the tied turn and other viable – real solutions come to surface more and more.

This is NOT about a woman’s right to “choose” this is about a lie that started back at Jane Roe Vs. Wade, perpetuated for nearly 50 years and has deceived millions, upon millions of young women into thinking it’s “okay” to murder the baby in their belly. Society has failed our women and children. Men have failed women and children. For a woman to go through the heinous process of murdering a real person in their own body is exceedingly traumatizing to them physically, emotionally and psychologically.

Jane Roe’s Testimony about the lie:

In this video below, which is older than the 1 minute video above, Jane Roe (Norma McCovey) indicates she just got baptized back in 1995 and thought 1st tri-mester abortion is okay. However, in the newer video she refutes this idea and now is against the entire thing, completely. I put this link in simply to provide more of her journey and life as ABC Nightline News reports. Psalm 139 talks about how God knew us when we were only “substance” and that He knits us together in the mother’s womb.

[Psa 139:13-18 NKJV] 13 For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb. 14 I will praise You, for I am fearfully [and] wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And [that] my soul knows very well. 15 My frame was not hidden from You, When I was made in secret, [And] skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. 16 Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, The days fashioned for me, When [as yet there were] none of them. 17 How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How great is the sum of them! 18 [If] I should count them, they would be more in number than the sand; When I awake, I am still with You.

Perhaps the most important conversation we can have, considering it seems that the legalization of killing babies leads to nearly 2x more deaths than the leading cause of death – heart disease in America (about 611,000 yearly).

I can’t help but wonder how future generations will look back on this generation, judge us for our moral depravity, and lack of compassion for the unborn lives being flushed down the toilet daily, not to mention the millions of young women we’ve allowed suffer this abuse.

The false narrative that women need the right to kill the baby in the womb for reasons of rape, incest, or any other sinful act needs to be exposed for the lie that it is. According to the statistics I’ve seen, about 32,000 women who are raped become pregnant per year. Wow! I had no idea rape was this prevalent in this nation. This is horrendous and a total travesty. Something needs to be done to address this depravity. Yet, the current line of reasoning (pro-choice argument), says, one wrong makes another wrong – a right. How does it make sense that we punish another completely innocent voiceless human being by killing them because of what someone else did to us? It doesn’t.

Even though, 32,000 babies is a HUGE number of people, it fails in comparison to the 1,000,000+ babies in total being slaughtered for reasons beyond abortions strongest argument – rape, incest, etc. (about 3% of total abortions/yearly) and that’s ASSUMING every rape victim that got pregnant, also got an abortion – which isn’t accurate. These arguments justifying the murder of any life is only found in the vanity of man’s false compassion, foolish wisdom, reasoning and/or selfishness. The arguments are completely devoid of the God of the Bible, that says He gives and He takes. The arguments are completely devoid of faith and trust in a Sovereign God and Creator, that works all things together for the good of those who are called according to His purposes in Christ Jesus. The Bible is clear, He opens and He closes the womb. He is the author of life and death. His justice is perfect.

It’s the nations around the Israelite’s that sacrificed their children to other gods. There’s nothing new under the sun and that’s exactly what’s taking place in this nation, whether we want to acknowledge that or not.

In an era where man prides himself on technology, innovation and new ideas, how is it we can’t figure out how to help the innocent and vulnerable of our society? There are solutions beyond killing babies and traumatizing our young women. Great solutions, actually.

Why are we defaulting to barbarism? Rather than the nobility and respect of life?

Why are we working so hard to argue in favor of killing the voiceless, innocent lives in the womb, rather than arguing that there’s got to be a better way??!!!

I don’t pretend to have the answers as to how we as a society are to go about turning the ship around. I don’t pretend to be perfect. I don’t pretend to understand how we can take care of our women better so that they are not in the terrible situation faced with the decision of life and death. I can’t imagine what it must be like for millions of women to wake up to the unexpected pregnancy. We can choose life, stop allowing babies to be killed and let women have real options in place that promote life from conception to birth that are best for the Mom and Baby. Abstinence, and then C-sections and adoption are great alternatives to ending a life.

Since posting this video, engaging in discussion around this idea, my heart, mind and soul have been grieving and weeping that we as a society are this broken, hardened and apathetic. Over 10x the amount of people killed in the holocaust (our brains can’t even fathom how big of a number this is), have been killed in the USA ALONE. Forget about China and their 1 child policy and all the other nations. We are just talking about the USA. WOW. Unthinkable.

Moreover, it absolutely needs to be communicated to those who may have participated in or know someone who has participated in this thing called, “abortion,” the words written here are not to accuse, blame, guilt or point the finger at you or any human. Make no mistake, the one I am pointing my finger at is Satan, who as the Bible indicates, “prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.” There’s principalities and powers working to destroy humanity because we are created in the image of God and Satan hates us. Misery loves company and he wants us to be miserable with him in hell. There is total forgiveness found in the Cross of Christ Jesus and His resurrection. He died to pay the price for our sins, when we make Him Lord and Saviour. He washes us clean of all unrighteousness. We’ve been deceived and opened the door to Satan in this nation by allowing the Roe V. Wade decision – which as stated in a comment already, was based upon a lie. We’ve lied to and not protected millions of young women for over 40 years, into believing this is okay. It’s not.

Just like slaves and Native Americans didn’t have constitutional rights once upon a time, we can change our policies/laws today to help the future unborn generation have rights they deserve and demand. We can do better.

“I’ve noticed that everyone who is for abortion has already been born.” – Ronald Reagan

Prayerfully, believing that we will change this decision and do more to protect our women and children from violence.

In closing here’s a clip from a pastor that had a dream where he explains how the Lord reveals His perspective on the murder of innocent babies every moment from around the world.

We can’t sit by and let this happen any longer. We must become the voice for the voiceless. We must become the solution for babies being put up for adoption. We must become love. We must wake up out of our own apathetic selfishness and give more to those around us in need. End baby murder today! In Yeshua’s name. Amen.

Be the change. God bless you!

Trump – God’s Choice? April 2011 Prophecy…

What do you think? Is this of God?

Against all odds, Donald Trump is the 2016 President-Elect.

Having to overcome:

– Foreign Multi-Nationals, George Soros – Billion Dollar Clinton Cash Slush Fund
– The bought and paid for mainstream media
– His own comments
– The Pope
– Countless accusations from people in his past
– The Republican Party turning their backs on him
– The Democratic Party out to bring him down at all costs
– Voter fraud

The list goes on. My thoughts, the only way he’s in the position he is, is due to the fact God has responded to the prayers of the saints and granted mercy on the USA. Pure and simple.

Now the task is to double up on prayer from now until the January 20th Inauguration.

Pray for this man’s life and that the wisdom of God be upon. In Y’shua’s name.

Jim Caviezel Testimony (Actor Who Played Jesus in The Passion of the Christ Film)

Listen as Jim recounts his experience in playing the role of Jesus Christ in the Passion of the Christ. There is a cost to the gospel and Jim shares the cost in which he paid to play this role and be a part of this project. Inspiring, convicting and compelling – Jesus is worthy of all we have to offer Him.

If you’re on the fence as to the things of life and death, please, make a decision to serve Jesus or serve Satan. It’s not possible to do both. Choose this day whom you shall serve.

Digging for Revival in America

Radars of the Lost Ark of Revival

God’s people are crying out and desire REVIVAL.

I see a vision of “The Radars of the Lost Ark” digging in the desert. The digging scene in the dry, hot, sandy wilderness of nothingness.  A great multitude of people are digging diligently, well organized, unified even.  The problem is the efforts are almost in vain.  The outcome is not in vain and the desired outcome is good, but their efforts are completely miss guided.  They’ll be digging forever because the target -> map -> coordinates are off.  God’s people need the right coordinates.  Indiana Jones was able to get the right tools to actually locate the Ark.  He needed the right staff/stick, with the right medallion, at the right time of day, with the right model of the ancient city to locate the all elusive Ark of the Covenant.  Only when he had each of these elements in place at the right time did he discover the CORRECT location to dig and locate the Ark.

The funny thing is with the right coordinates and location of the dig point, only a few people were needed to uncover the Ark.  Maybe 10 people helped dig up the Ark, where the other guys who were digging had 100’s, if not 1,000’s working rigorously to dig and dig and dig and dig.

The people will benefit when the Ark of the Covenant is uncovered -> when revival is found.

So what are the tools to accurately locate and dig up the “Ark of Revival”?  Many books have been written in the past on how to “spark revival!”

Who was Jesus most upset at in His day and age?  The Pharisess (lawyers) and the bankers (money-changers).

The same individuals are binding the people today and keeping them out of the Kingdom of Heaven.  In China the Church is willing to lay down it’s life for the Gospel.  In Africa the Church is seeing unprecedented signs and wonders. What’s the difference?  Much of the gospel is spreading through the rural  areas where life is simple and farming is the way of life.  Simply looking to meet daily needs and live for Jesus to those who have made him Lord.

Here in the modern world there are all kinds of contracts and covenants with unholy, ungodly world systems.  The book of Revelation pleads God’s people to come out of the whore of Babylon.  We are a generation of slaves, that’s right – slaves.  Our parents have sold us into slavery and this generation is selling their children into slavery through the birth certificate and marriage licenses they sign.  The social security is a system of dependency and is a method of enslavement.  Dependency on the government, rather than God is a snare.  Principalities and Powers of the Air manipulate people using the lawyers in government creating so much legislation ensnaring and enslaving an entire generation, it is quite remarkable.  Check out Nehemiah chapter 5, if you don’t agree.  The same thing has been going on for the last 100 years now.  When the federal reserve came into being, the IRS popped up, social security popped up, mortgages popped up, student loans popped up, credit card debt popped up, marriage licenses popped up in a more intentional way and birth certificates.  Our souls are being purchased and sold with these covenant agreements, knowingly or unknowingly to the people of the United States of America.

This country needs a people unbound of theses voluntary agreements. The agreements and applications…. The legal reality of this nation needs to fall ->needs to be undone.  The people have signed into too many covenants, oaths and agreements, that are of the evil one.  Let your yes be yes. Let your no be no. ANYTHING beyond this is from the evil one.

The people are sincerely digging in the wrong location.

Pastors across the country are sincerely deceived about the contractual realities hanging over the people of this nation.  The people must lay down these agreements.  It’s time to lose our lives for the sake of the Gospel.  It’s time to stop pretending we are following the Words of Jesus as though we think we’ve really given over completely.

Like in the Radars of the Lost Ark, it took several things to come together at once for the location of the Ark to be discovered.  There are pieces the body of Christ needs to come together to locate and dig up REVIVAL.

THE CALL AZUSA, the 110th year anniversary is taking place in about 2 weeks – April 9th 2016.  It is my opinion, based on what I read Jesus saying, the contracts and covenants in today’s world didn’t exist 110 years ago. Additionally, the government was not attempting to take the place of God in the people’s lives.

In order for that to happen, the people need to pray into specific strong holds hanging over this nation:

  • Wallstreet, The Federal Reserve & World Bank is probably the single largest stronghold.
  • Killing Babies in the womb is another stronghold.
  • Fornication, Adultery, Homosexuality, Pornography, Prostitution and other sexual perversion are strongholds.
  • Birth Certificates, Marriage Licenses, Social InSecurity Numbers, 501c3 “churches,” Mortgage loans, Student loans, Credit Cards are strongholds.
  • The food supply chain, FDA and Monsanto are strongholds.
  • Medical Industry and Pharmaceuticals are strongholds.

The fact is the Bible instructs followers of Jesus to come out from the world system because we are citizens of Heaven.  Followers of Jesus are to be strangers passing through this world.  This is not our home, so why have we made ourselves at home in this world system and gotten so comfortable?  We aren’t staying here, in the current realities we see today.

On top of that, at some point true believers will be forced to decide this world or heaven?  The ultimate test will be when, “The Mark of The Beast” is fully present.

Here’s a practical exercise.  If followers of Jesus know that one day the ability to buy and sell will not be an option without the Mark of the Beast, what is being done now to get your life into a place where existence won’t be threatened and can continue forward if buying food at WholeFoods is no longer an option?  Start working backwards from that Biblical reality.

The time is now to make steps out of the world system.  What are church leaders doing to meet the coming food shortages and consumption needs of their flock, much less their own families?  Again, people need to consider how they are going to eat when Trader Joes and Costco are no longer an option.  There will be the few virgins who understood the times and had extra oil and there will be those who didn’t understand the times or the Bible’s fundamental message about the garden and will be left out in the cold… literally physically and spiritually.  The truth is YHWH is holistic.  Current Church paradigms are at best 1 dimensional.  The Church needs to activate and move in agreement with the way Revelation lays a road map for the future way of life for followers of Jesus Christ.  This message is not popular today, but it will be in the coming days, weeks and years. It’s coming faster than we realize.  What are you going to start doing today?

Lastly it needs to be pointed out, that if someone didn’t get people motivated and focused on a vision, the “Indiana Jones” character never would have looked for and found the Ark to begin with.  Somebody or somebodies were used by God to put forth a vision of Revival and motivated people to begin the search.  So even though the people might be digging diligently in the wrong location, there’s vision for the right people to come along and uncover the REVIVAL they are seeking in God.  It might just turn out to be different than what they originally thought the work of their prayers, praise and worship would result in or look like in reality.  Praise the Lord for those who have caught the vision and have begun to work!  Now let’s begin to work smart and hard.  Then the vision and destiny of the LORD will unfold more laser like through out the world! Come LORD Jesus, come!

Man does not live by bread alone, but by every Word that proceeds from the mouth of God.  If a man won’t work he won’t eat. Why is that?  Because he didn’t plant the seeds.  He didn’t raise the chickens.  Food and water are mankind’s most valuable physical investment.

YHWH, Your people need an awakening, then an activation and then prioritizing according the message of Revelation. Help please. In Y’shua’s name.

UPDATE 3.14.16 – This message was sent to me where Robert Henderson talks about God as Judge. Satan works against us through our agreements. We go to the Judge asking for justice from the Devil.

6 Commonly Asked Questions about Salvation

6 Commonly Asked Questions about the Bible

 1. I’m a good person, I haven’t killed anyone.  Why do I need Jesus or Eternal Life?

[Rom 3:12 NKJV] 12 They have all turned aside; They have together become unprofitable; There is none who does good, no, not one.”

[Heb 9:27-28 NIV] 27 Just as people are destined to die once, and after that to face judgment, 28 so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.

The Good Person Test:

Have I ever told a lie?
Have I ever stole anything?
Have I ever looked at person with lust?
Have I ever been angry with someone?
Have I ever dishonored or disrespected your parents?
Have I ever used God’s name in vain?

Jesus says, you’ve committed adultery in your heart if you’ve looked at someone with lust.  Have you ever looked at pornography?  Jesus says, you’ve committed murder in your heart, if you’ve been angry with an individual.  Have you ever yelled at someone because you were angry or mad?  Check out Matthew 5.

If you’ve answered yes, to any of these, that would make you potentially a lieing, thief, adulterous, murderer, dishonorable, blasphemer.

2. Have you ever wondered, “Why can’t I stop doing these things and continue in this sin?  I know these things are wrong, but I do them anyway.”

All of us, if we are honest with ourselves, know we’ve done such things.  Our conscience bears witness to this reality.  Therefore we know we are not “good,” according to God’s standard.

[Rom 3:20-27 NKJV] 20 Therefore by the deeds of the law no flesh will be justified in His sight, for by the law [is] the knowledge of sin.

21 But now the righteousness of God apart from the law is revealed, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets, 22 even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all who believe. For there is no difference; 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, 25 whom God set forth [as] a propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance God had passed over the sins that were previously committed, 26 to demonstrate at the present time His righteousness, that He might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.

27 Where [is] boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? Of works? No, but by the law of faith.

The reason you can’t help but do these things is because your “spirit” has been dead to the things of God.

3. What do you mean, “My spirit is dead?”

When Adam and Eve ate from the tree of “good and evil” mentioned in the book of Genesis in the Bible, sin entered the world.  Our spirit, died and separated from God.  As soon as this happened it was impossible to be perfect and holy in the sight of God.  There was no sin in mankind until Adam and Eve ate from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.  Adam and Eve only knew good.

Because of the finished work of the cross, Jesus defeated death and sin, allowing restoration and reconciliation between God and man once again.

Becoming “born again” through baptism makes your spirit come to life.  For the first time in your entire life, you now have the opportunity to connect – spirit to Spirit, with God.  The Holy Spirit will now be able to bring revelation and understanding regarding the Bible.

When we become born again, we then become called – sons of God.  That’s right, we are adopted as sons and daughters of the Living God.  Everything Jesus did, we can do (aside from dieing on the cross for the remission of sins – we can’t do that).  He’s given us all authority to take dominion on earth as it is in Heaven.  We now can take authority over the spirit realm within the earth.  Casting out demons in Jesus’ name is an example of this.

4. What’s it mean to follow Jesus?

[Mar 8:34 NKJV] 34 When He had called the people to [Himself], with His disciples also, He said to them, “Whoever desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.

[Mar 10:21 NKJV] 21 Then Jesus, looking at him, loved him, and said to him, “One thing you lack: Go your way, sell whatever you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, take up the cross, and follow Me.”

[Luk 9:23 NKJV] 23 Then He said to [them] all, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me.

[Luk 14:27-30, 33 NKJV] 27 “And whoever does not bear his cross and come after Me cannot be My disciple. 28 “For which of you, intending to build a tower, does not sit down first and count the cost, whether he has [enough] to finish [it]– 29 “lest, after he has laid the foundation, and is not able to finish, all who see [it] begin to mock him, 30 “saying, ‘This man began to build and was not able to finish.’ … 33 “So likewise, whoever of you does not forsake all that he has cannot be My disciple.

[Jhn 14:15, 21 NKJV] 15 “If you love Me, keep My commandments. … 21 “He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.”

5. Are Heaven and Hell real?

[Luk 16:19-31 NKJV] 19 “There was a certain rich man who was clothed in purple and fine linen and fared sumptuously every day. 20 “But there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, full of sores, who was laid at his gate, 21 “desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man’s table. Moreover the dogs came and licked his sores. 22 “So it was that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels to Abraham’s bosom. The rich man also died and was buried. 23 “And being in torments in Hades, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. 24 “Then he cried and said, ‘Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.’ 25 “But Abraham said, ‘Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things; but now he is comforted and you are tormented. 26 ‘And besides all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed, so that those who want to pass from here to you cannot, nor can those from there pass to us.’ 27 “Then he said, ‘I beg you therefore, father, that you would send him to my father’s house, 28 ‘for I have five brothers, that he may testify to them, lest they also come to this place of torment.’ 29 “Abraham said to him, ‘They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.’ 30 “And he said, ‘No, father Abraham; but if one goes to them from the dead, they will repent.’ 31 “But he said to him, ‘If they do not hear Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded though one rise from the dead.’ ”

[1Pe 3:21-22 NKJV] 21 There is also an antitype which now saves us–baptism (not the removal of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God), through the resurrection of Jesus Christ, 22 who has gone into heaven and is at the right hand of God, angels and authorities and powers having been made subject to Him.

[Rev 5:13 NKJV] 13 And every creature which is in heaven and on the earth and under the earth and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, I heard saying: “Blessing and honor and glory and power [Be] to Him who sits on the throne, And to the Lamb, forever and ever!”

[Mat 10:28 NKJV] 28 “And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

[Rev 19:20 NKJV] 20 Then the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who worked signs in his presence, by which he deceived those who received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image. These two were cast alive into the lake of fire burning with brimstone.

[Rev 20:10, 14-15 NKJV] 10 The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet [are]. And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever. …

14 Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. 15 And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.

This is real.  Heaven is real.  Hell is real.

Turn Over the Passover Seder Tables???

Table setting
Recently, I found myself helping out at a Passover Seder meal.  Once everything was over and the tables were cleared it was finally time to put the tables away.  As I was breaking down a folding table a vision went through my head of the tables still full with all the dishes, silverware and decorations.  At that moment I was tipping the tables over (which were cleared,)  I thought of the passage where it’s mentioned Jesus turned over the tables in the Temple.  For some reason it seemed like a novel idea to have a feast and then let the guests throw the tables over afterwards.  Kind of similar to the dish throwing at Greek weddings.  It seemed humorous to me at the time.

Here’s the passage that came to mind:

13 Now the Passover of the Jews was at hand, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem. 14 And He found in the temple those who sold oxen and sheep and doves, and the money changers doing business. 15 When He had made a whip of cords, He drove them all out of the temple, with the sheep and the oxen, and poured out the changers’ money and overturned the tables. 16 And He said to those who sold doves, “Take these things away! Do not make My Father’s house a house of merchandise!” 17 Then His disciples remembered that it was written, “Zeal for Your house has eaten Me up.” 18 So the Jews answered and said to Him, “What sign do You show to us, since You do these things?” 19 Jesus answered and said to them, “Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.” [John 2:13-19 NKJV]

I was having fun cleaning up and laughing with the people I was working with.  Turning tables over, throwing dishes and having a food fight seemed like a fun idea and a great way to end a party, but how often does that ever happen? Never.

The thing about the comment was it was so random and not something I would normally communicate.  Today I found myself pondering this idea of turning the tables over after a meal.  What was Jesus doing when He was turning tables over?  What was His purpose behind it all?  What’s the message conveyed if people were to finish a meal and then turn the tables over and have a food fight or something?

It seemed the Holy Spirit took me back to the situation of putting the tables away and pointed some things out.  The major thing I took away from the experience was this idea, “If there’s nothing on the table when it’s overturned, is there a problem?”  The only reason there was a problem when Jesus did it was because the tables were filled with merchandise, money and the like.  The people’s focus were completely on the wrong priorities.

At this particular congregation I was helping with the Seder, I couldn’t help but think that the Lord was saying, “There’s nothing on the tables. So how can there be a problem?”  How can there be a problem turning empty tables over I thought?  All that happens is there are turned over tables.  Setting them back up is relatively simple.

What’s even more interesting is that I had no conscious idea the time period Jesus over turned the tables was on Passover specifically.  Wow.  I was helping break down a Passover Celebration as these very words came out of my mouth.  Fascinating.

What’s the Lord revealing?

Let’s focus on the Scripture now.  The Passover is a Holy Holiday or Celebration unto the LORD.  To have people exchanging money, buying, selling and doing business in the Temple was a complete mockery to God and a total insult.  The people were suppose to be resting, remembering what God had done for Israel all the way back to Egypt and definitely not to be earning mammon in the House of the Most High.

Jesus was filled with zeal for His Father’s house.  Not only did He have zeal for His Father’s house but He was probably a year away, maybe three from becoming the Passover Lamb Himself for all of Israel – past, present and future.  Jesus knew full well the destiny for which He was created at this point in time.  These people could care less about the Passover in many ways.  Passover became a “tradition” rather than part of their relationship to understanding and knowing YHWH.  I can see why Jesus became so intense over the things taking place before His eyes.

Look what He says in verse 19, “Destroy this temple and in three days I will raise it up.”  He knew in a very short period of time this prophetic statement would become a reality.  Perhaps He made a big commotion to simply get the people’s attention on the Passover itself so that they’ll take it to heart the next year or year after when He was to hang on a cross?  Maybe He wanted those people to get the fact He was the Lamb?  If He had to turn tables over to get it into their heads; what the Passover actually meant and actually what it was to look like for their sins to be forgiven once and for all?

No doubt I will continue to ponder my recent statements about turning the tables over as we broke down the Seder.  The LORD speaks in this day and age.  We simply need to have ears to hear.

The question is, are your tables filled with stuff or cleared?  Would it matter if Jesus turned over your tables or not?  Would there be a mess or would you simply have a table turned over?  Are you doing business on the Passover or are you meditating on what Jesus did for you and I?  He cares.  He cares today.  It’s a big deal.  Get under the Passover…

PS – The Seder was AWESOME and the most fun I’d had at one to date! If you’ve never been to one, go next year. 😉
